ABOUT US

Prairies have always been a symbol of the Midwest, a part of our natural heritage, and a part of Indiana's natural history.

In pre-settlement times, tall-grass prairies occurred across a vast area extending from Iowa to central Ohio. In Indiana, prairies made up approximately 15 percent of our great state. Most of Indiana's original prairie has been lost to urbanization and agriculture. Bannister Farms looks to work with land owners to restore Indiana's landscape to the complex natural environment needed to sustain both our heritage and our future.
